Fact Checked by Michael Peters

The biggest soccer competition in the world kicks off more than 8,000 miles east of Arizona on Monday, when the 2022 World Cup begins in Doha, Qatar.

The 2022 event is the first to feature the United States men’s team since the 2014 competition, with the U.S. facing off against Wales at Al Rayyan Stadium at noon on Monday.

From there, the U.S. team will have to knock off either England and/or Iran to advance out of group stage, which it did in 2014.

To celebrate the sport’s biggest stage, downtown Phoenix retail sportsbooks are hosting a series of promotional events for customers, centered around World Cup free bets and soccer-themed giveaways.

Here’s a breakdown of the deals Arizona sportsbooks are offering while the best in the world take the pitch in Qatar.

Arizona Retail Sportsbooks Up Their World Cup Game

Among the offers Arizona sportsbook customers can expect are a series of World Cup themed giveaways and other deals at the Caesars Sportsbook Arizona at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix.

The facility, along with its Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar, are looking to draw in football fanatics with deals sure to make you goal crazy.

Bradley Harwood, who serves as the director of public relations for Caesars Digital, told BetArizona.com the sportsbook, which opened its doors to the public in June, is ready to host World Cup fans from all nations in the weeks ahead.

“Caesars Sportsbook & Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar at Chase Field will be the place to watch and wager on every World Cup game,” Harwood said. “Fans can expect exciting soccer-style giveaways and more unique offers. Follow @CaesarsSports on social to stay up to date on these exciting promos and offers.”

The Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field location will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays through the conclusion of the World Cup, and open from 8 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays.

About a block west on Jefferson Street, the FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona at Footprint Center will have a similar deal in place for their retail and mobile customers.

A representative from the New York-based operator told BetArizona.com that FanDuel’s main offering for users is its “World Cup Free Bet,” which allows retail users that place a +500 or longer parlay or single-game parlay to get a $5 free bet for every $25 increment they spend.

The free bets as part of the World Cup kiosk deal are capped at $50 and are only redeemable on a single-game parlay. Those bets can be placed between the day after the match and seven days after its conclusion.

The FanDuel promotion has a $25 minimum bet and a $250 maximum, with $50 wagers getting a $10 free bet, $75 wagers getting a $15 free bet, and so on from there.

The World Cup retail promotion from FanDuel runs from midnight on Nov. 21 until 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Dec. 4.
