The furthest hotel that you may be interested in walking to, speaking from experience after a few long days at the tournament, is the Hampton Inn & Suites Phoenix/Scottsdale. It's a 37-minute walk West on E Frank Lloyd BLVD according to Google Maps, 1.7 miles in total. The walk was easy enough but took us a bit longer after a stop at the In-N-Out on the way.
For hotels right off the golf course there are a few options including the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess (highest-rated hotel in the area), a Holiday Inn, and Residence Inn.
