Where Cardinals Fans Rank Among Most Restless Fanbases in NFL
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

Given the team’s play over the last few years, it might not be the biggest surprise to hear Arizona Cardinals fans have been a tad restless of late.

Ahead of the Cardinals regular season opener against Washington on Sept. 10, BetArizona.com took a break from Arizona sports betting and utilized Statista’s 2022 “Hours of Sleep” survey of NFL fans with 1,020 respondents to find who currently are the fanbases who claim to be the most “restless.”

It should be noted this is just a sample size of NFL fans who claimed to be a fan of a specific team. The percentage represents how many people who “sleep on average 6 hours or less a night” out of the sample.

Cardinals Among NFL’s Most Restless Fanbases

Overall, Cardinals fans ranked in a tie for ninth with Tampa Bay when it came to the percentage of the overall fanbase that reported an average of six or fewer hours of sleep.

Arizona’s 8% score was half of the No. 1 team (Buffalo at 16%), while the New York Giants (15%), Dallas, Atlanta and Green Bay (13% apiece) rounded out the top five.

No other NFC West fanbases cracked the NFL’s top 10, sleep wise, as the rest of the list included teams from the NFC North (Chicago), the AFC North (Pittsburgh), the AFC West (Kansas City) and the NFC South (the Bucs).

The Cardinals open the season against Washington on Sept. 10. Caesars Sportsbook Arizona lists the Commanders as 7-point favorites. Arizona has a moneyline of +250 with an over/under of 38.5.
