What Will Fubo Sportsbook Bring to Sports Betting in Arizona?

Now that Fubo Gaming has received a license for Arizona sports betting in partnership with the Ak-Chin Indian Community, what can bettors in the state expect from the new sportsbook?

Fubo Gaming is a subsidiary of live sports streaming platform fubo TV and should allow for bettors in Arizona to place wagers while viewing the event, according to a news release. It will join 17 other Arizona sports betting apps when the market launches; that's scheduled to happen Sept. 9.

”Our comprehensive sports entertainment experience is envisioned to combine real-money wagering with fuboTV's live sports offering for a seamless user experience enabling consumers to wager while they watch,” Fubo Gaming president Scott Butera said in the release. “Arizonans are passionate professional and collegiate sports fans who we believe will enjoy the market defining Fubo Sportsbook.

"We are thrilled to partner with Ak-Chin for a market access agreement in Arizona.”

In a news release Tuesday, Fubo Gaming said it has been approved by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission as well. It has a market access agreement with Casino Queen in Iowa. That state is Fubo’s fifth market where it has market access, joining Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Indiana and Arizona.

Fubo Sportsbook said it intends to fold fan interaction and engagement into bettors’ viewing and betting experiences. Through its sportsbook, fuboTV will integrate real-money wagering with its live sports offerings.

Arizona Plans Sept. 9 Launch

The state appears on track to launch its market Sept. 9, which coincides with the start of Arizona NFL betting on the first regular-season game. Arizona Cardinals betting will begin in earnest with their first game on Sept. 12 at the Tennessee Titans.

The Arizona Department of Gaming approved 18 sports betting licenses on Aug. 27 and early registration began the next day, with some of the best Arizona sports betting promos offered by the operators.

Ak-Chin Gets State Approval

The Ak-Chin Indian Community was among 10 tribes that received operator licenses from the ADG. It looks forward to working with Fubo on the sportsbook.

"This is a tremendously exciting day for the entire Ak-Chin Indian Community,” Ak-Chin Chairman Robert Miguel said in the release. “With this sports betting license and our strategic partnership with Fubo Sports, we know we’ll be able to offer our customers the kind of premier entertainment experience they’ve come to expect from Ak-Chin, whether they visit our sportsbook in-person or online.”

BetMGM Arizona, Caesars Arizona, DraftKings Arizona, FanDuel Arizona and WynnBET AZ Sportsbook have had early registration promotions and bonuses for new Arizona bettors.
