Hard Rock Digital Officially Celebrates Launch of Arizona Sports Betting App
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

Hard Rock Digital officially launched its mobile Arizona sports betting platform Friday.

Hard Rock Digital, an enterprise of the Seminole Tribe, announced its partnership with the Navajo Nation in late January. The Navajo Nation was the last of the 18 licensed Arizona tribes and professional sports teams to announce a sports betting partner.

Hard Rock Sportsbook announced what it called “an early access launch” in late February.

Hard Rock has Apple and Android apps available in Arizona, but not a website. A spokesperson for Hard Rock Digital said, at this time, all new state launches will be mobile only.

A Unique Arizona Tribal Sports Betting Partnership

Hard Rock customers can place bets on the company’s sportsbook app from anywhere in the state, with access to promotions and betting on dozens of sports across the globe.

Marlon Goldstein, who serves as the executive managing director and CEO of Hard Rock Digital, said the ability for his company, which is the largest Native American-owned and operated sportsbook in the country, to partner with the state’s biggest tribe presents unique opportunities.

“Arizona has a rich sports culture and we’re proud to enter the state with our great partners at Navajo Gaming,” Goldstein said in the press release “We’re excited to debut our new platform, which players of all experience levels will appreciate for its ease of use, unique features and robust gaming options. Legendary service is part of Hard Rock’s ethos, and we believe our commitment to customer support will help us stand out in this competitive market.”

Brian Parrish, who is the interim chief executive officer of the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise, called the tribe’s pact with Hard Rock Digital a great opportunity for all involved.

“We could not be more pleased or proud of our partnership with Hard Rock Digital. The quality and functionality of the mobile platform is outstanding, and we are anticipating great opportunities to cross-market the Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise (NNGE) with a premiere gaming-hospitality operator and the world-renowned Hard Rock brand,” Parrish said in the press release.

A Look at the Arizona Sports Betting Partnerships

All 18 mobile Arizona betting apps licensed by the Department of Gaming launched in some fashion before the March 8 deadline. The license would have returned to the state if an operator was not taking mobile bets before the deadline.

Turf Paradise Race Track, which received a limited license for retail betting, will start taking wagers April 13. The Arizona Diamondbacks are expected to open their permanent Caesars Sportsbook location at Chase Field early this season.
