The emperor of sportsbooks is joining forces with the mayor of Flavortown.

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Monday a Guy Fieri restaurant concept will anchor the new Caesars Sportsbook set to open this spring at Chase Field.

The latest Arizona sports betting retail location will be in the former Game 7 Grill, on the northwest side of Chase Field.

Fieri is a Food Network star best known as the host of “Diners, Drive Ins & Dives.” Flavortown Kitchen, Fieri’s delivery-only restaurant chain, opened in the Phoenix-area last year

Fieri Part of Caesars Experience

Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field is expected to be open in time for the Diamondbacks home opener, scheduled for 6:40 p.m. April 7 against San Diego.

The restaurant and sportsbook will be open year round. The sportsbook will be a 20,000-square-foot, two-story venue with both indoor and outdoor seating. Although the site is very close to the ballpark, fans inside the stadium will need to use Arizona betting apps to place bets.

“We believe this is a rare and exciting opportunity for individuals who are driven to deliver a high-quality, high-service dining experience for guests and sports fans,” D-backs President & CEO Derrick Hall said of the restaurant. “This is a chance to get in on the ground level of a unique, fresh and fun concept in food, gaming and baseball at Chase Field.”

The Diamondbacks and Caesars opened sports betting windows at Chase Field on Sept. 9, the first day sports betting was allowed in the state.

Sports Franchises Opening Sportsbooks

Caesars facility at Chase Field will be the second full-service sportsbook operated by an Arizona professional sports team.

FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona has partnered with the Phoenix Suns to operate a very popular retail sportsbook at the Footprint Center.

The Footprint Center location, which is less than a five-minute walk from the new Caesars Sportsbook, was a lively place to watch Arizona Cardinals games this fall.

The Cardinals announced plans in January for their 17,000-square-foot BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium scheduled to open in time for the 2022 season.

Although a date hasn’t been announced, DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona is planning a retail location at TPC Scottsdale.
