FanDuel is removing the fee on Bet Protect+, its injury protection feature for NFL player props and Same Game Parlays, for the entire month of September 2026. The change applies automatically to every eligible bet placed by Arizona bettors during Weeks 1 through 3 of the NFL season, with no toggle or opt in step required.
What Bet Protect+ Actually Covers
Bet Protect+ is built for one specific situation: a player you bet on leaves the game because of an injury. Coverage runs the entire game, including overtime. If a covered player exits due to injury, a straight bet on that player has its stake returned in cash. If the bet is part of a Same Game Parlay, the injured player's leg is removed from the parlay and the rest of the bet settles at the adjusted odds.
The protection is specific to injuries. It does not apply if a player is ejected, benched by a coach, or simply sees fewer snaps than expected.
Why the Fee Is Waived This Month
Normally, Bet Protect+ carries a 3% fee on qualifying bets. For all of September, that fee drops to 0%. Every eligible customer gets the protection automatically, so Arizona bettors placing player prop or parlay bets on Cardinals games or any other NFL matchup do not need to add anything or check a box to get covered.
The mechanics of the protection itself have not changed, only the cost.
How Arizona Bettors Can Use It
The process is simple. Place an eligible NFL Player Prop or Same Game Parlay sometime in Weeks 1 through 3. Bet Protect+ applies automatically at 0% fee. From there, the bet carries full game injury protection, including any overtime.
Arizona sports betting has been legal since 2021, so this offer lands in an already established market where prop bets and parlays on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday night football are common, especially on the Arizona Cardinals. The waived fee applies only through Week 3. Starting in Week 4, the standard 3% fee returns unless FanDuel announces otherwise.
A Reminder on Responsible Betting
Bet Protect+ only covers injuries, and standard bet eligibility rules still apply. Bettors must be 21 or older and physically located in Arizona to place a wager.
