The Phoenix Suns’ Arizona sports betting outlook for the 2022-23 NBA regular season just got a lot rosier, thanks to one of the sport’s biggest superstars.
Twelve-time All-Star Kevin Durant has reportedly asked the Brooklyn Nets for a trade, listing the Suns as his preferred destination for the upcoming season.
Whether Phoenix will be able to put together enough of a return to land the 2014 NBA MVP remains to be seen, though his rumored trade request has sparked national sportsbooks to boost the team’s Arizona NBA betting title odds.
Here’s a rundown of where Phoenix stands in the NBA’s title race at Arizona sports betting apps and odds from Bookies.com on where KD may wind up next.

Who is the Leader in the KD Sweepstakes?
According to Bookies.com, Monty Williams’ bunch is the leader in the clubhouse to land Durant, at +200.
Trailing Phoenix are the Miami Heat (+350) and Portland Trail Blazers (+800).
The site also has +650 on the field landing Durant’s services, as we fast approach the heart of the NBA’s offseason.
In non-Durant NBA news, teams can officially offer contracts to free agents at the stroke of midnight, clearing the way for the logjam of players without contracts to sign.
One such puzzle piece is 2018 No. 1 pick, Deandre Ayton, who figures to be leaving the Valley after his best season to date.
The Suns offered Ayton a qualifying offer, which means he’s officially a restricted free agent and they have the right to match any offers made on the former Arizona Wildcats big man.
For now though, it seems that GM James Jones’ attention is squarely upon landing the biggest fish in the trade market.

Suns New Leader in 2023 NBA Title Chase
A pair of Arizona sports betting sites have boosted the Suns into the No. 1 spot to win the Larry O’Brien Trophy in 2023.
Both BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook Arizona have the Suns atop their league leaderboard. BetMGM lists Phoenix at +500, while Caesars has the Suns at +550.
Last month, both had the Suns far from the top of their title odds board, with BetMGM listing Phoenix at +900 as recently as June 24, while Caesars Sportsbook had them at +800.
As far as standings are concerned, Phoenix has gone from sixth on BetMGM’s NBA title odds board to sole possession of first.
The team’s outlook is similarly rosy on Caesars Sportsbook, as the Suns have gone from a tie with the L.A. Clippers for fifth to the No. 1 spot.
