Cardinals Extend Michael Wilson

Wilson signed a three-year contract extension with Arizona on September 3, keeping him under contract through the 2029 season. ESPN reported the deal is worth $75 million, including $47 million guaranteed.

The new deal follows Wilson's breakout 2025 season. The third-round pick from 2023 recorded his first 1,000-yard campaign, finishing with 78 receptions for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns. He also posted career highs with 15 catches and 185 receiving yards against the San Francisco 49ers.

Wilson enters the season alongside Marvin Harrison Jr. and Devin Duvernay in a receiver group that also includes Kendrick Bourne, Simi Fehoko, Reggie Virgil and Jalen Brooks. Trey McBride remains the team's top tight end, while Jacoby Brissett is listed ahead of Gardner Minshew II and Carson Beck on the current depth chart.

Cardinals Complete 53-Man Roster

Arizona reduced its preseason roster from 90 players to 53 ahead of the August 30 deadline, cutting 34 players in the process. Running back James Conner was placed on injured reserve, while tight end Tip Reiman moved to the reserve/physically unable to perform list.

The Cardinals added depth after several weeks of training camp and preseason evaluation. Fans tracking the team through AZ betting apps can now follow the finalized group heading into Week 1.

Practice Squad Rounds Out Depth

Arizona completed its 17-player practice squad on September 4 by adding cornerback D'Shawn Jamison. The group also includes running back Evan Hull, wide receivers Ihmir Smith-Marsette and Harrison Wallace III, and offensive linemen Matt Pryor and Valentin Senn.
