Arizona sportsbooks posted record-breaking activity in October 2025, with bettors placing a total of $967.1 million in wagers, surpassing the previous state high of $897.6 million from October 2024, according to the Arizona Department of Gaming.
Sportsbooks kept 8.6% of the handle, generating $83.0 million in gross revenue. After accounting for $30.4 million in promotional bets, the remaining $51.6 million was subject to taxation, producing $5.2 million for the state.
Since the launch of legal sports betting in Arizona on September 9, 2021, residents have wagered nearly $29.7 billion, including $7.34 billion during 2025 alone. The first 10 months of 2025 brought sportsbooks $665.7 million in total revenue, underscoring continued growth across the market.
AZ Ranks Sixth in Nation
On a national level, Arizona ranked sixth for monthly betting handle, just behind Pennsylvania. FanDuel Arizona led the state in total wagers with $317.1 million, followed by DraftKings at $293.7 million.
In revenue, DraftKings AZ edged ahead with $28.8 million compared with FanDuel’s $26.2 million. BetMGM, Fanatics, and bet365 rounded out the top five operators in both handle and revenue, maintaining their positions from previous months.
The strong October numbers reflect increasing engagement in Arizona’s sports betting market, driven by high-profile events and growing familiarity with online and retail sportsbooks. Analysts expect that momentum continued into November, potentially setting new records nationwide once all state totals are reported.
