In a February story from KTAR radio, a Mario Kart themed apartment building is coming to downtown Phoenix in mid-2024.

The building will have 36 units, a real life “rainbow road” through the courtyard and sidewalk, and steps inspired by the video game.

Even the building’s color scheme will resemble Mario Kart.

But even that’s just a lead-up to the animated “Super Mario Bros. Movie” opening April 5, and featuring the voices of Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong.
