Caesars Announces Opening Date for New Chase Field Retail Sportsbook
Fact Checked by Michael Peters

The long-awaited Caesars Sportsbook Arizona retail facility in downtown Phoenix has an opening date.

The facility, which is located inside the former Game 7 Grill on the northwest side of Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, is slated to open its doors to the public Tuesday morning.

The Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field (201 S. 4th St.) is a 22,000-square-foot facility that includes wall-to-wall TVs, as well as Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar at Caesars Sportsbook for food and drink service.

Caesars launched its temporary retail location at Chase Field the day Arizona sports betting became legal last September.

The Las Vegas mainstay will commemorate its permanent retail facility, which is the second full-service sportsbook operated by an Arizona professional sports team, with an opening ceremony on Tuesday that features former ESPN personality Kenny Mayne (now a Caesars Sportsbook Brand Ambassador) and Diamondbacks President and CEO Derrick Hall.

Caesars received its Arizona betting apps license through its partnership with the Diamondbacks.

Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field is Going Big

The Caesars facility at Chase Field will be the largest sportsbook on the grounds of a professional sports venue in the United States.

The sportsbook facility will include a sports bar, broadcast studio and betting kiosks — among a host of other amenities.

In total, there will be around 1,500-square-feet of LED screens, allowing patrons to watch sports inside or outside the venue.

The Caesars Sportsbook at Chase Field will be open year-round, meaning patrons will be able to wager even when the D-Backs season concludes this fall.

Other Stadium Sportsbooks in the Valley

FanDuel Sportsbook Arizona partners with the Phoenix Suns to operate a very popular retail sportsbook at the Footprint Center.

The Footprint Center location, which is less than a five-minute walk from the new Caesars Sportsbook, was a lively place to watch Arizona Cardinals games last fall and NCAA Basketball Tournament games this March.

Elsewhere in the Valley, the Arizona Cardinals  announced plans in January for their 17,000-square-foot BetMGM Sportsbook at State Farm Stadium scheduled to open in time for the 2022 season.

DraftKings Sportsbook Arizona is planning a retail location at TPC Scottsdale that is scheduled to open in the fall.
